We are Having a Human Experience—So Let’s Enjoy the Ride!
Ever feel like life is just one big, bizarre simulation? Like, one moment you’re relaxing to your favorite song, and the next, you miss the your exit on the freeway and question your entire existence? Well, buckle up, because I have news for you: you’re not just a human. You’re a soul—an infinite, cosmic being—currently navigating this wild, beautiful, and sometimes ridiculous human experience.
Check out this week's Podcast π
Wait… I’m a What?
You heard me. You’re a soul! A divine, limitless energy temporarily inhabiting this incredible (but sometimes inconvenient) human body. You’ve been around the block—maybe even the stars in the galaxy—a few times. This human role? It’s just your latest adventure, which comes with good and sometimes bad experiences.
Think of your soul as a wise old traveler, and your human body as the rental car. Sure, sometimes the check-engine light comes on (hey, back pain for no reason), but that doesn’t change the fact that you—the real you—are something far greater than flesh and bones.
The Human Experience: A Wild Rollercoaster Ride
Being human is weird. One second you're crying because your favorite TV character died (again), and the next you're feeling really happy and in love. Even though you have a sharp mind that can think deeply about philosophy, you still can't remember why you entered the kitchen and which snack you wanted.
But that's what makes it fun! Perfection is not what your soul signed up for. It committed to development, contrast, the emotional roller coaster, relationships, and even the sporadic existential crises. Your spirit would become extremely bored if life were simple and predictable.
Imagine going to an amusement park and only riding the carousel. Nice, but… boring. Your soul really wants the rollercoaster! The ups, the downs, the loop-de-loops—it’s all part of the thrill of life.
So… What’s the Point of It All?
Honestly? To experience life. To love, to learn, to mess up on occasion, to laugh, to dance terribly at weddings, to feel the warm sun on your face, to eat an absurd amount of cake on your birthday. Your soul came here to expand itself, to evolve, and—most importantly—to enjoy the ride.
Sure, challenges happen. You get stuck in traffic, break your favorite coffee mug, or go through heartbreak. It sucks. But zoom out for a second—your soul does see the bigger picture. Every experience, whether it is good or bad, is shaping you, teaching you, and adding to the masterpiece that is your existence. Isn't that well put?π
How to Embrace the Soul Perspective
Laugh at all the Chaos around us – Life is too short (and also too funny) to take everything seriously. Spilled coffee? Maybe the universe just saved you a few minutes from an awkward encounter.
Trust the Journey – Even when things don’t make sense, remember: your soul signed up for this. The soul knows what path to take. You’re learning, growing, and evolving every step of the way.
Enjoy the Small Stuff – That perfect dinner meal with family? A belly laugh with friends? The feeling of rain on your cheeks? Your soul lives for these moments.
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff – Now I know this sounds counter intuitive to enjoying the small stuff but just hear me out. Will this thing that’s stressing you out really matter in five years? If not, take a deep breath and move on.
Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, you’re not just a human paying taxes and forgetting laundry in the washer. You’re a cosmic being on a grand adventure, here to experience the full range of emotions and lessons that life has to offer. So just relax, laugh a little, and enjoy the ride—because your soul is loving every moment of it. Let me know what your soul enjoys in the comments below.
