"The more power we wield, the greater is the risk of catastrophic error, either of commission or omission. The more we bring under our control, the more there is to slip out of control."

The above quote taken from the book The Conscious I, page 23 by author Andy James.

 This quote suggests that as individuals or institutions gain more power or control over things, they also increase the chances of making significant mistakes. The more power one has, the higher the risk of making big errors, whether it's by doing something wrong or by not doing something that should have been done. Additionally, when more things are brought under control, there's a larger scope for things to unexpectedly spiral out of control, despite efforts to manage them. Essentially, with increased power and control comes an amplified responsibility and a greater potential for mishaps or unforeseen consequences.
