Brain Quote of the Week

I stumbled onto this great book in which this quote stuck with me regarding relationships
"The power of love is found most in its triumph over fear. Where fear prevails, love is not. Given the ubiquity of fear, the move to love is a considerable challenge. Only those who can face their fears, live with ambiguity and ambivalence, can find that personal empowerment which then makes possible love of the Other."
Above quote taken from the book "The Eden Project. In search of the Magical Other" page 73 by author James Hollis P.H.D
I am no relationship expert but what I gather from the text above is that fear traps us in our past conditioning which makes relationships with anyone, including our significant other, very difficult. Letting go of those fears allows us to shut down the voice in our heads keeping us captured in our old way of thinking and be better connected to the ones we love.
